The Right Time

Posted By at Wednesday, August 29, 2018

We're probably hearing many voices speaking to us, and whether we realize it or not, it's true. Every moment of every day we're listening to someone. The voices of family, friends, newspapers, social media and television are speaking to us constantly.

What they say can directly affect our life in these times.

They are questions that are basic to all of us and we could ask God, "Why I am here? Why was I born into my particular family? Why am I here at this time?"

You see friends, we really had nothing to do with it. God didn't ask our opinion when He planned us and made us. It was all up to Him.

Why were we not born in the days of Abraham, Moses, David, or even Jesus?

Why were we not born in the fifteenth, eighteenth, or nineteenth century?

Why did God put us in this last generation before Jesus returns?

I believe that when God created the world, He saw a time period in which sin would abound as never before, a time when great calamities would come upon the earth. He foresaw a time when the greatest deception would come to try the people of God.

Just remember this; that the end time history was written before the world was established.

Matt 24:12 Sin will be rampant everywhere and the love of many will grow cold.

2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

We're living in difficult times and as Christians, most of us know that the last days are here. We have all heard about the signs that Jesus said to look for concerning Israel and the world. Every day calamities and terrorism are happening and people are going out into a Christ-less eternity.

If we're going to live for God, we are going to run into persecution somewhere along the line. The devil is going to try to make sure we do!

The events Jesus said would be signs of His coming and of the end of the world, are going on all around us; even today as you read this blog.

Now, I'm not saying that to frighten you or to depress you. I'm saying it because I want you to be prepared.

But we can keep our peace and walk in fearless confidence even in the midst of these troubled times, if we remember one thing; God is still in control and He is still on the throne! In these last days there will be ample opportunity for us to walk in fear if we don't know the truth!

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Jesus said in Luke 21:26 that men's hearts will fail them because of fear.

However, while describing many of the end-times events to His disciples, Jesus told then in Matt:24:6 "...see that ye be not troubled."

There is only one way to remain fearless in a world of turmoil, hatred, war and uncertainty—that is to trust the One who told you not to be troubled.

In these last days, both Christians and unbelievers will see the increasing of the power of this age.

This will result in awesome demonstrations of God's power and the great end-time harvest of people being saved as never before.

So let's all consecrate ourselves to God and stay full of the Word and the Holy Spirit, so that when we hear the blast of the trumpet announcing Jesus' return, we'll all be ready!

We Have a Heavenly Home

Posted By at Wednesday, August 01, 2018

Jesus said in John 14:2 "I am going…to prepare a place for you."

All that stuff you see in the films, like fog banks and angels floating round in some nether world to the eerie sounds of Celtic music – forget it, that's all Hollywood ideas! Not HOLY GHOST TRUTH!

1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Heaven will be:

1. A home built just for you by Christ.

Are you worried about where you go when you die or where your loved ones have gone?

Don’t be; just make sure you are born again because Jesus said John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

2. It will be a city you’ll love!

Rev 21:2 "I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem."

Rev 21.9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, "Come hither, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife.

Vs. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God."

This Great CITY--Heaven--looks like a great and high mountain that comes out of Heaven--out of space in other words.

It’s an exact square of 1,400 miles, or 2,353 kilometres. It stretches from the Carolinas to California, from Canada to Mexico, or almost from Melbourne to Mackay.

It’s 40 times the size of England, 10 times the size of France and larger than India.

And that’s just the ground floor; it’s as tall as it is wide; 600,000 stories, more than enough space for billions of people to come and go. And come and go they will. The gates never close. Why shut them? The enemies of God will be banished, leaving only a perfect place of perfected people.

Vs. 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Vs. 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

This city is a light source in itself, shining with a glorious light like that comes from a precious gemstone, like jasper, meaning diamond! So this city refracts light that comes from within and it shines like a diamond, clear as crystal! It looks beautiful! It comes from God Himself!

Vs. 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates on the south three gates; and on the west three gates

Vs. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

There is a great wall around it with 12 gates in it, made of giant pearls, as we can read in the scripture.

This outer wall has 12 foundational layers, one for each of the 12 apostles.

Vs. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

Vs. 16 And the city lies foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the HEIGHT of it are EQUAL!

Vs. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

The angel measured the length of the city as 12,000 furlongs long, which is about 1,500 Roman miles, or about 1,400 English miles which amounts to about 2,200 km! But that is just one side of it. And as its surface is a (four) square, it has four sides that long, altogether about 8,800 km around! That's as big as Europe! THIS IS A GIANT CITY! ENORMOUS!

But, it also says that the length and the width AND THE HEIGHT of it are equal! So it is not some flat city... but goes up 2,200 km as well!

Now you can imagine that anyway you want, like a big cube or something, or a mountain, the mountain of the Lord's house! It might very well look like a gigantic box, rising 2,200 km out of the earth's atmosphere (that goes up only about 10 km!)

What a city! WOW!

3. You will be with Christ - the One you love most!

Paul, who had the privilege of visiting heaven, wrote in Phil 1:23 "For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better."

So don’t get too comfortable here on earth, like Paul, we don't plan to stay here forever. Jesus is coming soon to take us all home!

Be On Your Guard, Stay Alert And Clear Headed

Posted By at Wednesday, January 11, 2017

1 Thess 5:1-9 NLT "Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you.

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin.

And there will be no escape. But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.

For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.

Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us."

We are not just in the last days, we are definitely in the last hours before the close of this present age and the commencement of another.

The world isn't going to end yet, but the rapture of the Church could occur at any moment, literally. This is why we must be ready at all times to meet Jesus! The Lord is returning soon. Yet so many do not accept this belief.

That means there will be very many left behind—so many left to face destruction and disaster. Don't let anyone deceive you or try to talk you out of the fact that we really are in the last moments of time before the great tribulation breaks out around the globe.

It may be a negative statement, but true none-the-less. Sudden destruction is coming. So stay ready and keep living for Jesus, you must stay on your guard and be clear-headed.

Will You Swim Against the Rising Tide in 2017?

Posted By at Wednesday, January 04, 2017

Let me welcome you to my FIRST MID WEEK BOOSTER for 2017 and again, can I say thanks to all of you who receive it and for those of you who have supported the ministry during the past year.

If you want to get the most out of 2017, I suggest this is something you should do:

SWIM AGAINST THE RISING TIDE IN 2017!

James 4:7-8 Submit yourself then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts you double-minded.

And as James says in chapter 1:8 about a double-minded person. He is unstable in ALL his ways.

I read somewhere that someone has explained how in the cold waters off Greenland, thousands of icebergs float around. More than 75% of their bulk is under the surface. Some are very tiny while others tower skyward. At times the small ones move in one direction while their tall and gigantic counterparts go in another.

Why is this?

The small ones are pushed around by the winds blowing on the surface of the water but deep ocean currents carry the huge ice masses along.

In our culture in these last days, there is a great TIDE of pressure for all of us to go with the crowd, to be politically correct, to do the convenient thing regardless of whether it's right or ethical or not. Even in many church circles this is happening. Many have got away from preaching The Word and become more like a social club, even in the choice of worship music!

Paul said in Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

The reality is, however, unless we have deep roots in God and in His Word, we too can easily be swayed by the popular winds of the opinion to be more appealing to certain sections of the community. And that simply means we would then be double-minded and unstable in all we do.

Now think of Jesus, He never worried about being politically correct or pleasing the crowd or the religious leaders of His day or even King Herod for that matter. His only concern was to do right and what pleased God His Father.

John 8:29 NKJ "And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him."

He did right and pleased His Father regardless of the consequences. For you and me to make a difference we, too, need to stand for The Truth and do right regardless of the consequences. We are supposed to stand out not to blend in with the world.

To do this we need backbone, commitment and perseverance; and not giving up when the pressure comes on to go along with the crowd, even the church crowd.

As someone has said, "Any dead fish can float down the river but it takes a live fish to swim against the flow and make it upstream."

Furthermore, if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.

How will you be swimming in 2017?

Are You Ready For Christ Coming Back Again?

Posted By at Wednesday, November 09, 2016

Matthew 24:38 "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark."

Jesus is prophesying in this verse that when He returns it will be just as it was in Noah's day, people will be dominated with the affairs of this life instead of eternal spiritual matters. Sounds like He is just describing the day we live in now!

He says before His return, there will be plenty of signs to show that the time is drawing near, but few people will heed them.

Isaiah 5:20 makes this point, What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.

Preoccupation with the affairs of this life can make people oblivious to the importance of God's spiritual realm. If there ever was a time when that was so it is today! People are so pre-occupied with self and pleasure and getting stuff.

It's almost like 'If it feels good do it!!'

The Lord kindly, but seriously, points out the urgent need to be ready for His return. In the same way that a thief comes when people are the least prepared, so He will return in a time when people are not looking for or expecting Him.

Matthew 24:44 "For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him."

This is not because He desires to surprise everyone and see how many He can catch out unprepared. On the contrary, He is urging us all to be watchful so that we will be prepared and ready to be caught up to ever be with Him.

Jesus gave us the signs of the end times (eschatology) to help us be prepared. He is simply saying that there will be such a condition of apathy and self-pleasure in these latter days that it will tend to lull even many churchgoers to sleep if they don't take heed to His words and be ready. We all need to have our lamps trimmed and ready as it says in Matthew 25:7.

Believers will not be assembled on a mountaintop somewhere waiting for the Lord's return. Everyone will still be going about everyday routines.

The Lord said to the servants in Luke 19:13 to, "occupy till I come."

Some translations say, "continue to do business until I come!"

We can take that as Him saying, "Be about my Kingdom business, as I was about my Father's business, until I come back!"

We should be ready for the Lord to come back at any moment, yet continue to work for the Kingdom as if His return is still far off.

Are You Ready For Jesus?

Matthew 24:38-39 "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

Matt. 24:38-39 The Message Bible The Arrival of the Son of Man will take place in times like Noah's. Before the great flood everyone was carrying on as usual, having a good time right up to the day Noah boarded the ark. They knew nothing until the flood hit and swept everything away."

Jesus is prophesying that when He returns it will be just as in Noah's day, people will be dominated with the temporary affairs of this life, their normal every day, eating and sleeping, going to work lifestyle; instead of eternal spiritual truths. Before His return, there will be plenty of signs to show that the time is drawing near, but few will heed them. Preoccupation with the affairs of this life can dull people to the spiritual realities. The Lord kindly, but seriously points out the urgent need to be ready for His return. Believers will not be assembled on a mountaintop somewhere waiting for the Lord's return. They will still be going about their daily routines.

In Luke 19:13 The Lord told us in the Church to, "Occupy till I come."

We should be ready for the Lord to come back at any moment, yet work as if His return was still far off.

Don't Go With the Flow, Swim Against It!

James 1:7-8 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourself then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Get Revelation Knowledge & Wisdom

Posted By at Wednesday, March 16, 2016

In these last days we need to be living by Revelation Knowledge not by sense knowledge. The problem came when Adam fell in the garden, he fell from Revelation Knowledge back down to sense-knowledge-living and man has been there ever since, until Jesus came as the last Adam to restore mankind back to living by Revelation Knowledge again.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding.

It is wise to have a reverential awe of the Lord to gain Revelation Knowledge of Him, and in understanding His ways and His will for our lives.

Isaiah 33:6 Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; the fear of the Lord is His treasure.

Through wisdom and knowledge we will experience the stability to endure these difficult times.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

The days we now live in are just before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We should be living each day in the secret place of His presence, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty as Psalm 91 says to do; as it's the only secure place to be in these last days.

Keep on building a firm faith foundation by staying close to Father God through prayer and by feeding on His Word daily. As you keep yourself in this secret place, you will experience God’s protection, the wicked one will not touch you, and you will enjoy having the victory every day. That's what Revelation Knowledge and wisdom will do for you.

Are You Having Difficulties Today?

Posted By at Wednesday, May 13, 2015

George Mueller said: "In a thousand trials it's not just five hundred that work for our good, but nine hundred and ninety-nine - plus one!"

When Joseph met his brothers after he became Prime Minister of Egypt in Genesis 50:19-20 He said: 19 But Joseph told them, “Don’t be afraid of me, am I God, to judge and punish you? As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil, for he brought me to this high position I have today so that I could save the lives of many people.

That says to me that no disaster, disease or delay can keep God from turning it into something good. Understanding that God forgives your past, knows your present and has planned your future, lets you walk in the confidence that - nothing can ever happen to you that's beyond the scope of His grace and redemption!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

A few years ago I read a story about a woman in the Philippines. In the late 1930's Josefina 'Joey' Guerrero was the toast of Manila, young, vivacious and married to a wealthy medical student. Then, in 1941 she discovered she had leprosy and immediately began treatment. But when Japan invaded the Philippines all the leper hospitals were abandoned. Despite her disease Josefina joined the underground, smuggling food, clothes, medicine and messages to POW's. She mapped out fortifications along the waterfront and the location of anti-aircraft batteries. When guerillas discovered a newly placed minefield where the 37th Division was scheduled to land in Manila, they asked her to get the message through. With no thought for her own safety she trudged through miles of enemy encampments with the map taped to her back and delivered it safely. Amazingly, Josefina was never caught. In fact, the ragged little woman who shuffled through the streets of Manila horrified the Japanese soldiers. And even when she was stopped they didn't detain her long, once they recognised the dirty bandages and lesions of advancing leprosy on her body.

After the war a grateful US War Department decorated Josefina with the Medal of Freedom, with silver palm, the third highest award that can be given to a foreign civilian. Later the Justice Department waived immigration restrictions, giving her a temporary visa to enter the US for treatment at the Carville, Louisiana's leprosarium. This was the first Leper treatment facility opened in America. Then after TIME MAGAZINE reported the story of her wartime exploits and her arrival at Carville (TIME, July 19, 1948), more than 4,000 readers wrote letters expressing their sympathy and interest in Josefina's future.

God has plans for your life for good and not for evil, no matter how bad you think things might be right now. If you will spend time with Him, listen to Him and do what He says, He can use you to reach and help others.

God Placed His Best Gift ON A Tree Not Under It!

Posted By at Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Here we are - it's Christmas Eve again. Children around the world are getting excited and eagerly looking forward to opening presents wrapped in brightly coloured paper. But it was God Our Heavenly Father who started it all of by giving His Best gift.

Christmas is the time when we should celebrate the birth of Jesus. It's a wonderful time of gift giving but what we need to really remember and celebrate is not just a birth, because there have been millions of babies born naturally, but His birth was a SUPERNATURAL BIRTH.

When Jesus came the first time, He came as a little baby, laid in a manger. The world laughs at the notion of Jesus being God and many use His Name as just a swear word, but He is coming again, not as a baby but as King of Kings.

There are many Christians who have only a vague idea concerning the end of this age and His return, but He is coming to this earth again and they will not use His Name as a swear word then, they will all bow the knee. There is a kingdom coming to this earth that will bring peace and righteousness to this fallen world at last.

When He comes the second time, He will come as the King of kings and Lord of lords, in power and great glory.

Matt 25: 31-34 & 41 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world"…Then He will also say to those on the left hand, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels…"

And then it will be as said as Rev 11:15 "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever."

Although this kingdom is yet to come outwardly, it dwells inwardly already, in the hearts of those who have called upon the name of Jesus and have declared Him to be their Lord and Saviour. There is NO OTHER NAME given under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 tells us and no one comes to the Father EXCEPT through Jesus John 14:6.

Many people worship other gods. But no other gods have the name or the power to forgive and restore and bring eternal life and peace.

Are you part of His kingdom? When you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, the Bible promises that you will be saved, delivered from the authority of the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of God's Beloved Son ready for His soon return.

Are you ready?

Have a great Christmas!

Norman
