Keep on rejoicing!

James 1:2-4 The Message Bible Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed not deficient in any way.

Do you realize you can rejoice even in the midst of any temptation!

The reason we can rejoice is because God gives us the ability and power to overcome every temptation we face.

In John 16:33 AMP Jesus said, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]"

He will never abandon us any time we are being tested. The grace of God is sufficient to enable us to meet every obstacle victoriously.

We must let joy be our source of strength as it says in Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Joy is a very high form of faith. Being joyful in the midst of difficulty releases the power of God to work on our behalf.

God tells us to rejoice in the very face of tests, trials and temptations, because Jesus has already deprived it of power to harm us. Remember, by rejoicing we are releasing our faith and the power of God goes forth to overcome any barrier. Our rejoicing is IN God not in or for the test, trial or temptation.

James 1:13 TPT When you are being tempted don't ever say, "God is tempting me," for God is incapable of being tempted by evil and he is never the source of temptation.

The reason many have not taken advantage of these verses is because they have been misunderstood. Many people could not reconcile rejoicing over tests, trials and temptations. If someone continually gives thanks for temptations, they actually open the door for more tests and trials to come.

Learn to thank God IN the situation not FOR it - thank Him FOR His wisdom that brings grace to cause you to overcome the situation.

Praise God for what He has done instead of glorifying the devil in his attacks. The attacks, temptations and trials have not come from the Lord. There is a fine line between the two attitudes that is of the utmost importance.

As we rejoice in God's grace to overcome the temptation we will be standing on the Word in faith. This is called patience or steadfastness. As we are patient and consistent, God promises we will be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. We put ourselves in a position to experience God's blessings.

James 1:12 TPT  If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life's difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!
