Are You Born Again?

Posted By at Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Someone once said if you are only born once you will die twice, but if you are born again you will only die once, unless Jesus comes back first.

So if you are saved or born again things will change!

When you received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour something exciting happened to you. God, by His mighty power, took you out of the devil's family and placed you into His own Heavenly Forever Family.

John 1:12 says it like this, "But to all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God...All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them."

You may not understand what has happened; but God sent His Son Jesus to die for your sins so you could be in Heaven with Him forever.

Jesus said in John 3:7 "You must be born again!"

To be born again simply means you have chosen to turn away from sin and accept God's standard for your life in the future.

2 Corinthians 5:17 "When a person becomes a Christian, he is not the same any more.  A new life has begun."

A person who is born again has no past any more because it is finished!  God does not see any of your past life so neither should you. Your old life with its problems and sin consciousness has been swept away by the blood of the Lamb Jesus!

Any person who becomes a Christian is changed first on the inside even though he looks the same on the outside. Then, as the person searches and obeys The Word of God and the Holy Spirit, what is on the inside will start to be revealed on the outside.

Are you at the place in your life where you are ready to make a personal commitment to follow Christ & make him Lord of your life? All you have to do is reach out to Him in prayer. He loves you and is waiting to come into your heart and help you in whatever you are going through right now. If you would like to pray and receive Christ as your personal Lord & Saviour, please pray this simple prayer, or go to our website, watch the video and pray along with me as I lead you to receive Jesus.

'Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins. I confess my sins before you this day. I denounce satan and all his works. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. Thank you for saving me. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that you rose from the dead. I am saved. Write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I choose to live my life for you from this day forward. I am free! I pray this prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus! Amen!'

If you just prayed this prayer, welcome to the Heavenly Forever Family! Get in touch so we can help you live for Christ and grow as His disciple. Please email, mail, call or contact us. We'd like to bless you & send you a free booklet and a CD to help you understand your new life in Christ. Further articles on this Blog will bless you too.

Don't Get Upset

Posted By at Wednesday, February 15, 2017

When anger is in control, sin and the devil can have a field day in our lives. When we're angry it is bad for our health.

God says it's OK to get angry, just don't sin. Everyone gets angry. It’s a normal emotion and there’s probably a good reason why we feel that way.

It's amazing how easily many people get angry and upset by what someone says or does. It can happen to the best of us. We find ourselves completely undone by someone else’s behaviour. It could be anything from someone cutting you off in traffic, to your neighbour shouting at you. Mild to severe, other people’s actions can turn our world upside down.

Keeping short accounts makes for a life full of peace. And that's a truth that will never change.

But anger can be bad if we don't control it. Emotions such as anger and hostility ramp up our "fight for your rights” response. When that happens, stress hormones including adrenaline, speed up our heart rate and breathing.

We get a burst of energy. Our blood vessels tighten. And blood pressure soars.

We’re ready to run for our life or fight an enemy. If this happens often, it causes wear and tear on the artery walls.

Most of the things that we get upset about aren’t our issues. The driver who cut you off? Their driving is not your issue. All you need to worry about is getting safely to your destination. That lazy co-worker who isn’t doing their share of the work? Not your issue. All you need to do is focus on your own good work.

Jesus tells us to not be angry with our brother and to initiate peace with anyone who has a problem with us and to humble ourselves and settle the matter quickly even if we think it’s their fault. Because maturity and wisdom help us realize we aren’t perfect either and there’s always something we can acknowledge—something we need to be forgiven for.

Matt 5:23-26 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24  leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.

There’s danger if we don’t settle a matter quickly. Anger, bitterness and resentment will grow, and we’re subject to a prison; one that won’t let us out until we’ve suffered and agonized; until we’ve paid the full price for our foolish refusal to pursue peace.

Keeping a short account with others means we don’t leave things undone. We don’t let disagreements linger or bitterness grow. Then by doing that, we stay out of that prison in your mind and instead choose a life full of peace every single time.

Eph 4:26-27 In your anger do not sin: Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Deut 30:19 Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

It's always up to us either to react to the situation or to act in God's kind of love. It's totally our choice!

God's Word is Medicine

Posted By at Wednesday, February 08, 2017

The scripture in Exodus 15:26 says, "I am the LORD who heals you."

Psalm 103:2-3; "...the LORD who heals all your diseases."

God is your physician. The medicine He prescribes is His Holy Word.

Psalm 107:20 NLT He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

Jeremiah 30:17 The Message Bible As for you, I’ll come with healing, curing the incurable.

That's a great verse for anyone who has been told they have a terminal illness!

John 1:14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

Prov 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life unto those that find them and health [or medicine] to all their flesh.

God's Word has the directions for your cure. You must follow the directions for the medication that God has prescribed to you for the life and health of your body.

The directions He has given in Prov 4:20-22 tell us to pay attention to what God says. LISTEN carefully to His words. Don't lose SIGHT of His words. Let His Words PENETRATE deep into your heart. It is His Words that bring LIFE to you and HEALING to all your body.

Let me share a testimony with you today.

A number of years ago when we moved into a new house; I was removing some rubbish in a large black plastic bag and as I grabbed the bag to put it on the trailer, a razor blade in the rubbish slashed the third finger of my left hand right to the bone. Blood gushed everywhere and in the natural it would have required several stitches. I wrapped a handkerchief around it and began to remind God about His promises.

The Holy Spirit then brought to my memory Ezekiel 16:6, "When I passed by thee and saw thee in thine own polluted blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live!..."

This Word from God's Word became medicine in my flesh as I spoke it out and believed it could be a reality for me right away. As I spoke I released the power of The Word by faith and I commanded the blood flow to stop in Jesus' Name. Immediately the flow slowed and within a couple of hours, there was only a white mark where there should have been several stitches.

I had used my plan of action! Do you have a plan should you ever need it???

Hebrews 4:12 "God's Word is quick (alive) and powerful (filled with God's power)......"

You must have your plan of action to use by faith when the circumstances demand it!

Television programs; no matter how good they may be, will not give you a plan of action!

Most books only inform you, but it takes God's Word to transform you, and your own diligent application of it to produce such a plan.

It is necessary to meditate in His Word for success.

The Word must be practical otherwise it is of no value in the emergency situation.

If your home caught fire, what would you do?

Perhaps phone your pastor and ask him to pray while the fire burns stronger and your home is demolished? That probably sounds silly! But what you need is the Fire Brigade to come and put the fire out!

But if you have a plan of action already working in your life, you would be walking in the sure and certain knowledge of what the Prophet Isaiah said; Isaiah 43:2 "....when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the fire kindle upon thee."

You must have this Word working in your life as a part of your daily walk, then there is no way the Devil can burn your house down!

The same principle works for the health in your body!

God's Word is full of medicine. I can send you a list if you will be diligent and study and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to them.

Remember that you may not always be full of faith, so you should be constantly feeding God's Word into your spirit man to stay in faith!

Be encouraged to start to make your plan of action and if you give God the same time and opportunity as the doctor, you'll be surprised how much He is able to do for you!

Yes! Faith and Medicine can mix!

Another testimony; about two years ago I took an uncomfortable pain in my side, and as it didn't improve, I went to the doctor. He diagnosed diverticulitis. My response was, "I will have to pray about that!"

When I came home I prayed and God spoke into my heart and said not to eat any more red meat. And I loved a nice steak! So I choose to stop eating red meat and I've had no more trouble with the pain. I still eat chicken and fish, and that's no problem.

NOTE: [This was a word God gave ME, it is not a general word for everyone with diverticulitis. You need to seek God for yourself.

If you are taking prescription medicine, continue taking it, but pray and seek God and you will come to a place where God's Medicine, (The Word), will become more powerful in your flesh and you'll start to live by it daily!

I have a book entitled FAITH AND MEDICINE, DO THEY MIX? on this subject that's on special this month. I can send it to you for $20 post paid, just contact us if you'd like a copy, or my list of healing scriptures to help you study God's Word and devise your Healing Plan.

Running For Gold!

Posted By at Wednesday, February 01, 2017

1 Cor 9:25-26 The Message You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.

I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.

Olympic athletes prepare to compete and no sacrifice is too great; no morning too early to rise up and train, no cost too much to pay for the opportunity to run for the gold.

No matter what our job or vocation is, we should do the best we possibly can, give it our all and go for the gold. If we do our best not even expecting anything in return, God will see to it that we are rewarded.

We have a friend called Betty, who won FOUR Olympic gold medals at the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne and the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo.

Betty Cuthbert AM, MBE is an Australian athlete and a fourfold Olympic champion. During her career, she set world records for 60 metres, 100 yards, 200 metres, 220 yards and 440 yards. She remains the only Olympian, male or female, to have won gold in all sprinting events; 100m, 200m and 400m.

Betty quotes: "You've got to stick at a thing, a particular thing, until you succeed. I feel that's the only way to succeed - by concentrating on something in particular. Once you know what you've got to do you will succeed. You will succeed.

I realised from a very early age that God gave me a gift and that gift was to run and I wanted to use it to the best of my ability.

Everything I did that required effort, I opened my mouth. Even to catch a ball, I opened my mouth.

I always felt free when I ran. I suppose that's what was good about it.

My salvation was a free gift. I didn't have to work for it and it's better than any gold medal that I've ever won."

A number of years ago we invited Betty to come to our church and speak, she was an inspiration to all who came to hear her. She now lives in a retirement home and is 79 years old. She was and still is to all who know and love her, "Australia's GOLDEN GIRL."
