You Have Been Sealed

Posted By at Wednesday, January 27, 2016

In the dictionary the word 'seal' is described as: to close or fasten with a seal.

When you heard the good news of your salvation and believed it, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

The word "sealed" in Bible terminology means: to stamp with a signet or private mark. Or a die or signet having a raised or incised emblem used to stamp an impression on a receptive substance such as wax or lead thus an impression so made.

It means to fasten us up by the Holy Spirit and keep us as a top-secret prize, safe from the enemy. It is a sign of authority, given by God Himself.

Paul says in Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

The Message Bible says: It's in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed and delivered by the Holy Spirit.

It's because you heard and believed the message of truth and put your faith in Christ that you were given the promised Holy Spirit to show everyone that you belong to God.

God has put His stamp of ownership and approval on you by giving you the Holy Spirit and now you can live for Him according to the promise.

Today can you believe that as a child of God He has sealed you with the Holy Spirit because you believe in Jesus!

Do You Really Know Who You Are?

Posted By at Wednesday, January 20, 2016

The most important thing you have to know when you pray is who you really are in Christ. And you get to know that by meditating on the Word of God.

Think about how Jesus came to see Himself as the Saviour. He was the Son of God, but He was human too, just like you are. He came to earth as a baby who had to be taught to walk and talk. He also had to be taught the things of God, just like you and I do.

Jesus studied God's Word in the Old Testament Torah to see what the prophets of old had said about Him.

We know He studied as a child because the family went to Jerusalem for a Jewish Holy Day and upon leaving to return home to Nazareth, Mary and Joseph could not find Him. It says in Luke 2:45- 47 So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him. Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.

So at the age of 12, Jesus was found discussing the Scriptures with the elders in the temple and everyone there was astonished at His understanding of them.

Jesus saw whom He was when He meditated on the Old Testament Torah scriptures and this is how you will see who you are in Him, when you meditate on Paul's letters to the churches! You're not an old weak sinner saved by grace. You are a new creation in Christ, you are the temple of the living God and you are more than a conqueror.

1 Cor 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

2 Cor 5:17 "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

Rom 8:37 "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

As such, take your place in Christ and walk in the authority that is yours.

What You Say Will Locate You in 2016

Posted By at Wednesday, January 13, 2016

Your life will rise or fall to the level of your words (confession).

This is one of the simplest facts of successful living, yet it's only practiced by a very few. This is one of the main reasons why only a few achieve real success.

The ones who fail in life did not plan to fail, they just failed to plan!

The secret of success is really very simple; it's doing the things the failures have refused to do! For example talking success and blessing.

The Word of God has a lot to say about this subject. I have used only a few references to open this short study.

The Word warns against using negative, defeatist words and it overflows with examples of those who talked faith and got the result of their faith talking. You will rise or fall to the level of your confession.

Talk fear, defeat, anxiety, unbelief, sickness, depression, worry, and you will be located at that level and it will become your experience.

It does not matter who you are; rich or poor or how many degrees you may have, this very principle is the same for everyone.

If your words are foolish, negative, disorganised and impractical, then your life will be the same.

But if your words follow and repeat God's Word about you and what you have, then your life will manifest what God says.

Your words paint a very public picture of what you're really like on the inside!

Jesus said in Matthew 12:34 "....out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

You will say what you believe in your heart, that is a spiritual principle.

If your talk is negative: that's how you believe!

If your talk is careless: that's how you believe!

If your talk is anxious: that's how you believe!

If your talk is frustrating: that's how you believe!

If your talk is God's Word: that's how you believe!

Your words are busy painting a picture of what you really believe in your heart!

Your confession is the "real you" talking!

Your confession is your "word of faith" talking!

Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 "Whosoever therefore will confess me before men, him also will I confess before my Father which is in heaven."

Hebrews 13:5-6 "For He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, so we may boldly say; The Lord Is My Helper...."

No Matter What the Devil Says, You Still Win!

Posted By at Wednesday, January 06, 2016

The Word says in Psalm 136:1 God is good….

Don Moen said in his song, "God is good and He is good all of the time!"

The devil is a bad devil and he is bad all the time.

Jesus said in John 8:44  He was a murderer from the beginning and there was no truth in him at all.

But God is good! He is always good! Don’t blame God for the bad things that happen in your life.  He is a good God who only does good things!

Make the decision today that you are going to live in the goodness of God!

Things may be coming against you, but take the energy you would be using to talk about the problems and use it to praise the Lord, recounting His goodness and His mighty power!

Everything around you is trying to create a mindset with you.

The media will want to portray one thing, films and movies another thing, your work another and so on!  We are all information absorbers!  This is why it is needful for us to get into the Word and receive God’s way so that you can become to think and act like Jesus as 1 Cor 2:16 says.

Mary was a young girl promised to Joseph and all of a sudden an angel appears and speaks to her.

There has only ever been one virgin birth.  But we can liken this to what happens to us in the spirit. We receive the Word and become pregnant with it and its self-fulfilling power will go into operation.

David Yonghi Cho shared in his testimony about getting pregnant with a bicycle in his early ministry.

There are boundaries to your prayer life. You can't pray in other tongues only, even though you need to do that, as much as possible but you also need the Word of God to be a part of your prayer life. The Holy Spirit will drop something into your hearts and then you go into the Word and receive what God’s Word says. The Holy Spirit will not lead you or tell you something that is contrary to the written word of God!

With this combination of being rooted and grounded on the Word of God, the revelation of Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit, you will stay on track and see what God has placed on the inside of you come to fullness!

Hebrews 4:12 AMP BIBLE For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

No matter what weapon that comes against you the Word of God is sharper than it!

The Roman soldiers had a heavier, more cumbersome sword they used in practice so then when they came to actual battle they were excellent in skill and agility with their sword.

For us the more we take up the Word of God by speaking it and declaring it, the more we are preparing ourselves for battle. Then when the battle comes you will be able to win it quicker than if you had not become skilled in praying and declaring the Word of God!

So be prepared!

Having done all the crisis demands: Stand up and march forward!

No matter what weapon the devil uses, we still win!
