Learn to Walk in the Light

Posted By at Wednesday, March 25, 2015

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

God has given the body of Christ two key commandments.

  1. To love God with all of our being.
  2. To love our neighbour as you love yourself!

While it seems impossible to love some people, with God all things are possible. Remember He will not require something of His people that He did not equip us to do. We are able to get along with and fellowship with each other because of the blood of Jesus. As we walk in the light of the Word of God, the blood of Jesus daily cleanses us from all sin.

When people fight with each other they really do not realize what they are doing. They forget that the same blood that was shed for them was shed for the other person also. The same Jesus loves each of them equally. And when you really think about it, they are fighting over something quite insignificant compared to what Jesus did for them. Think about that for a moment. Where would we be if God had not come to our rescue? What would have happened to us if God stayed mad at us?

With that in mind then, we must quickly settle our disputes with our brother before we can go before our Lord in prayer.

Jesus said, "Don't come to the altar and offer your gift while you have strife with your brother. Lay your gift down and go back to your brother and get it right. Then come back and offer your gift, and it will be received."

Once any strife has been settled, we can now have fellowship with our brother again, because the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

That is not referring exclusively to our initial salvation but it is talking about our daily walk. In other words, there is a daily cleansing of the blood. We can get along with our brother and have fellowship with him because we are daily cleansed by the Word.

Faith is the Key to Walking in The Spirit

Keys are for opening doors, and it does not matter how big the door is, the RIGHT KEY WILL OPEN IT.

The key to a life of victory is being able to use your faith to open the doors that are at present locked in your life.

For example door to health, door to prosperity, door to blessing, door to a good marriage, etc.

Habakkuk 2:4 …but the just shall live by his faith.

Romans 1:17 …as it is written, the just shall live by faith.

Galatians 3:11 …it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith.

Hebrews 10:38 …Now the just shall live by faith:

Here are FOUR places in The Word that God is telling us the just shall live by faith.

If God says things FOUR times He certainly means what He says. Now I want you to notice that the FOUR verses all say the just shall LIVE by faith.

It does not say the just shall EXIST by faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Romans 14:23…for whatever is not of faith is sin.

I believe, we, as Children of God, need to learn to walk in His Word to create faith in our hearts. Then we are pleasing God with our lives, and we would walk free from circumstances.

Remember the words of Jesus in John 8:32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Dear friends, Faith is the key to walking in the spirit and pleasing God and if we walked by faith and not by sight [2 Corinthians 5:7] then we would be the over-comers instead of being overtaken by problems.

Giant Problems!

1 Samuel 17:4 AMP And a champion went out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span [almost ten feet].

When you face giant-size problems you need to know what to do because:

[A] Giant size can be intimidating.

It doesn't help when everybody around you, including King, is running for cover. This is when you need to recall the victories of your past: Red Sea-sized ones, Jericho Wall-sized ones. And how big God is!

[B] Giant words can cause you to doubt.

1 Sam 17:11 AMP When [King] Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.

Words like, 'The cancer is malignant,' or 'The company's down-sizing,' or 'I don't love you any more,' or 'Our son is hooked on drugs,' or 'The bank is fore-closing on the mortgage.'

How do you handle these kinds of words? By looking to the ever-living life-changing Word of God that is MORE TRUE than all circumstances and exceeds all opinions.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever.

Psalm 119:89 Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.

[C] There is always an opening, so look for it.

It was said a giant like Goliath could throw his spear a great distance, so David was probably very aware of that. That's why David ran towards Goliath, he became a moving target and more difficult for Goliath to hit. Goliath had body armour protecting him from head to toe, except for a small area between his eyes and forehead, even though his helmet was covering his head. That's where David aimed for. One stone was all it took.

So there's a lesson here for us. When you ask God for a solution, it may come as a small opening rather than the size of a sports arena! When He shows it to you, just trust Him to get you through it. God's response to you is not designed to increase your sense of comfort, but to build your confidence in Him. That way you'll be able to handle any giant now or any others waiting for you in the future!

When You Don't Know

Posted By at Wednesday, March 04, 2015

When you don't know what to do God says in Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

No matter what situation you may be facing today; you may think it's too big for you to decide what to do, but it's not too big for God to handle for you.

It says in Isaiah 9:6 And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

God specializes in impossible things but He will never force His decision on you, you always have to make the choice for yourself and ask Him for His help.

We need to realize that we are in control of our choices, no matter how we feel. We are each of us totally in charge of our decisions and emotions no one can coerce us or force us to do anything. So call unto God and He will answer you as He says in Jeremiah 33.

You make your choices and live with the results of them, but if you ask God for His help, you will make the right choices every time.
