The Secret of Success

Posted By at Wednesday, February 25, 2015

To have a really successful life you need to reduce the number of opportunities to make errors. Obviously the less number of errors then there is more truth, and thereby more success.

It is because of the inherent sin nature we have not dealt with, that we make mistakes. When we come to Christ and accept Him as Saviour we are taken out of the Adamic race and placed into the Jesus race of re-born people.

When we try to have a foot in both camps then we make mistakes, wanting to follow Jesus and His way but not really knowing how to do so.

The opposite of error is truth. Jesus said in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

So when we start to really follow Jesus we are following the Truth.

Jesus also said in John 8:32 And you shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free.

So when you know the truth and do what it says, it means more truth and the less you make errors and mistakes and you can enjoy a successful life.

What is Your Purpose?

Posted By at Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Every child is born with the capacity to think like a genius but their surroundings and family life experiences determine how they face the rest of their life, many never find their true purpose.

The person without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder, they are at the mercy of the waves and the wind and have no control over their lives.

So have a purpose in life and in having it, throw such strength of mind and effort into your work as God has given you.

Jesus said in Matthew 4:19b-20 “Follow Me (Jesus) and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately they (Simon and Andrew) left their nets and followed Him.

God has a plan for your life and mine. Simon and Andrew’s life plan with Christ started right in that very verse. So how can you know what God’s plan is for your life?

The Bible is full of truth and wisdom on how you all can follow God’s plan for your life. As always, you need to look into the inspired Word of God, the Holy Bible, for concrete answers. For the Christian, being without purpose puts you at the mercy of the enemy who as Jesus said in John 10:10 is out to kill, steal and destroy.

That's why you need to know your purpose. But being defeated is often just a temporary condition. It is giving up that makes it a permanent condition.

Walt Disney said, "All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them."

God did not put you on this planet at this time for no reason. He has a plan for your life to be fulfilled here and now. If you do not find your purpose and fulfill it, there will be something that God planned that may be missed out on in someone else's life!

Michael-Angelo said, "Lord grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish!"

You see, if you don't know your purpose you are just taking up space and wandering through life not achieving your full God-given potential. This condition only leads to disappointment, despair and depression.

All successful people have a goal. No one ever gets anywhere unless they know where they want to go and at least make some effort to get there.

You need to be like Moses and see every ordinary bush aflame with the presence of God. Today as you read this Mid-Week Faith Booster, if you want to achieve something like a feeling of well-being, just stop, take a good look at yourself and set some goals that will bring satisfaction and pride into your life. Seek God and ask Him what it is He plans for you, don't be a wandering generality - but be a meaningful specific.

Find your purpose and get on with it.

When Life Hands You a Lemon

Posted By at Wednesday, February 11, 2015

When life hands you lemons make lemonade, so the saying goes.

But why settle for making lemonade when there are so many more positive possibilities?

Just remember there is no situation so completely hopeless that something constructive cannot be done with it.

When you are faced with a minus, do what you can to make it a plus.

When you practice an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness you will be able to extract un-dreamt outcomes from the most terrible situations.

You must realize there are no really hopeless situations, there are just people with hopeless attitudes.

So don’t be one of them because we all have a tendency to adopt the attitudes of the people we spend time with!

Paul wrote Romans 1:12 Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.

Paul also said in Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

When you choose to forgive and focus on what you can control; that is your attitude and as opportunities arise it increases your energy, builds your potential and takes the limits off your faith and your future!

Have a wonderful year in rest of 2015 because we are being blessed daily here at the Family Faith Centre.

Your Choice

Posted By at Wednesday, February 04, 2015

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life that both you and your descendants may live.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Did you know God gave you a choice? That's right: life or death. You can choose either to be carnally minded, which is death, or to be spiritually minded, which is life. It's one or the other. The choice is yours.

If you're moved by the flesh and the things of the world, they will lead you to death and all of it's manifestations; but if you're moved by the Spirit, then you will have life and peace.

God does not like the carnal mind. It's His enemy. It's not subject to the law of God, nor can it be. So when you decide to walk around operating in the flesh, you cannot please God. In other words, approaching life from the standpoint of the flesh is operating totally contrary to God's purpose and plan for your life.

In Matthew 22:37 Jesus commands us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind. Notice, God doesn't just want your heart. He wants your mind too. He wants every part of you to serve Him willingly.

Remember, you are a tri-part being. You are a spirit. You have a soul, and you live in a body. The mind is part of the soul. So, your mind, your heart, and your soul must be involved in loving and serving God.

God wouldn't tell you to do this if it was impossible. Because that would be unfair of Him! A lot of people are walking around thinking, "I just can't help it, that's how I am."

That's not true. You can help yourself. You can control your mind, God expects you to renew your mind by His Word.

I've learned the way to get the things God promised is to follow His plan and not go the fleshly way. God has made it possible for you to have victory in every area of your mind. Now you have a choice - life or death. So choose life and you and your children will live!!
