God Promised!

Posted By at Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Phil 4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When you have peace with God it brings the peace of God. This peace of God settles your nerves, calms your mind, it fills up your spirit even in the midst of a crisis when everything around is going crazy. That peace assures us all will be well and that God loves us.

1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted above that you are able.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.

Romans 14:17 For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

God will never permit anything more than He knows you can bear because only good things come from our loving Father's hands. In Him we can turn every crisis into an opportunity if we know how to handle it in His power.

John 14:27 Amplified Bible Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you: My [own] peace I now give…to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”

God loves you, and He loves you with a love beyond understanding, because there is no human love comparable to His divine love. He wants to love you. He wants to bring peace to you and He wants to have daily fellowship with you. He promised to never leave you or forsake you.

Impossible No!

Have you ever faced a situation you thought impossible?

J. Hudson Taylor the great pioneer missionary to China said these words: There are three stages in any great work attempted for God: impossible, difficult, done.”

Walt Disney said: "It is kinda fun doing the impossible!"

Have you ever faced a situation you thought was impossible?

Well God's Word says In Matt 19.26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Just remember Philippians 4.13 I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.

Amplified Bible I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

When of yourself you think it is impossible, just remember that in Him [Christ] it is Him-possible.

Just a word of thanks, to all those who sent greetings to us yesterday [19th] as Elizabeth and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary.

When Life Hands You a Lemon

Posted By at Wednesday, August 13, 2014

I found this little poem;

"Life handed him a lemon,
As life sometimes will do,
His friends looked on in pity,
Assuming he was through.
They came upon him later,
Reclining in the shade
In calm contentment, drinking
A glass of lemonade."

But why settle for making lemonade when there are so many more positive possibilities?

Just remember there is no situation so completely hopeless that something constructive cannot be done with it.

When you are faced with a MINUS, do what you can to make it a PLUS.

When you practice an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness you will be able to extract un-dreamed outcomes from the most terrible situations.

You must realize there are no really hopeless situations; there are just people with hopeless attitudes. So don’t be one of them, we all have a tendency to adopt the attitudes of those we spend time with!

Paul wrote Romans 1:12 Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.

Paul also said in Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honourable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

If you choose to forgive and focus on what you can control; then with that as your attitude your opportunities will increase and your energy, builds your potential and takes the limits off your faith and your future!

Have a great month this August from all of us here at the Family Faith Centre!

What Are You Focusing On?

Posted By at Wednesday, August 06, 2014

Whatever your main point of focus is, that is what you are accepting in your life right now.

You will never enjoy the victory while your attention is on the problem!

When King Saul and the army of Israel went out to fight the Philistines in 1 Samuel 17, their main focus was Goliath the giant, so they ran away and hid in the caves.

When David the shepherd boy [and future King] came out, his main focus was on the covenant he had with God. So he faced Goliath in God's anointing and single-handedly defeated Goliath and all the Philistine army and Israel enjoyed the victory.

So what are you focusing on today?

Is it the sickness?

Is it the lack of finance?

Is it the family problem?

Is it the marriage situation?

Change your focus to your covenant in Jesus if you want to enjoy the victory.

Your covenant is a better one than David had according to Hebrews 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
