There were times in Jesus' ministry when He didn't allow unbelief to be around Him. An example was the time He went to raise Jairus' daughter from the dead. Jesus took with Him only those who would believe that He was the Anointed One who could raise the dead.
Only those who can believe by-pass their own human reasoning will see God move miraculously in their life.
Mark 5:36 Jairus is told that his daughter was dead. But, "...As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, only believe."
So Jesus headed for Jairus' house with only three of His disciples.
Mark 5:37 "And he allowed no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James."
He only took the ones He knew could believe for miracles.
They got to the house and saw everyone crying, and then Jesus made a statement of faith: "...Why make ye this ado, and weep? The damsel is not dead, but sleepeth."
Now that statement was absolutely unreasonable to their natural mind and their emotions, they had already begun to weep because they knew she was dead!
"And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out…."
When Jesus went to deal with the spirit of death, He made sure there would be no contaminated faith around. There only had to be unreasonable faith, pure and simple.
Sometimes you will have to put out those who cannot believe or those who laugh at you using faith!
Imagine for a moment if you can, someone's relative just died and the whole family is at the house. They're crying and carrying on as it normally happens.
Then Jesus walks in and says, "What are you crying for? She's not dead, she's just sleep."
Now the parents had made a decision already to believe God; remember Jairus said in Mark 5:23 "...come lay your hands on her heal her and she shall live!"
So, when Jesus got there, He took her little girl by the hand and told her, "Little girl get up." The girl got up. Praise God! She was alive and healed at 12 years of age.
It's when we decide to believe what God said, that we will have victory. Even though the circumstances look bleak, we must believe God's Word anyway. And when we believe the Word of God over our own human reasoning, when our faith becomes unreasonable to the human standard of thinking; we will have our desired result.
